Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration
The FAQ Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration (QCF) will confirm a learner’s competence in a business administration role. This qualification is for learners already working in an administrative role and wanting to develop their knowledge in order to enhance career prospects. Alternatively, it is aimed at any learner wanting to develop a broad, in-depth understanding of business and administrative knowledge, with a view to preparing for high level employment in the administration field.
There are no formal entry requirements to take this qualification and is suitable for learners aged 16+. The Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration is suitable for learners who currently work or want to work in the business administration sector. This qualification is also suitable for organisations who want to train their staff to a nationally recognised standard.
The FAQ Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration (QCF) is made up of 5 mandatory units, which are:
Principles of business Principles of business communication and information
Communicate in a business environment
Principles of administration
Manage personal and professional development
In addition to this learners can choose which optional units they wish to take, these include:
Contribute to the improvement of business performance
Manage an office facility
Employee rights and responsibilities
Chair and lead meetings
Develop and maintain professional networks
Principles of market research
Understand the customer service environment
To achieve this qualification, learners must complete a minimum of 58 credits: 27 credits from Mandatory Group A and a minimum of 13 credits from Optional Group B. A maximum of 10 credits can come from Optional Group C and a maximum of 8 credits from Optional Group D.
Completion of this qualification allows the learner to demonstrate competence to work in the Business Administration sector. Learners will develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for being successful in this area.
