Level 2 Award Promoting Food Safety and Nutrition
Who is it suitable for?
It is suitable for anyone who may be preparing for a new role, or is working in a role that involves handling food safely and supporting an individual with their nutrition and hydration needs.
What are the entry requirements?
You should be at least 14 years old. We do not set any other entry requirements.
How many credits are required to complete it?
The Award in Promoting Food Safety and Nutrition requires 8 credits.
How is it assessed?
It will be assessed by your Tutor or Assessor. This could include direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task.
Do you need to be working to take this qualification?
Yes, you will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as you need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
How long does it take to complete?
You can usually complete it in less than 6 months.
What related qualifications can you progress to?
Other Level 2 or 3 Health and Social Care qualifications or Early Years Educator qualifications depending on your chosen career path.
This qualification does not qualify you to work but will support you in your current job role or future job roles when dealing with Food Safety and Nutrition.
